+High school students at the beginner or moderate level of proficiency. The objective is to increase the student’s listening comprehension skills in the English language. They also have to express their feeling towards their favorite subject by debating on it.
Behavior to be demonstrated:
+ The students have to chat with each other online in English and then print out the conversation. The students have to correct their dialogues in their groups. The students have to act out their conversation in the front of the class. Conditions:
+The students are only allowed to use the required chat room which was selected by the teacher. They will be measured by the amount of correct sentences in their dialogue.
Degree:
+In the end of this assignment, the student will be able to debate on their favorite topics using new vocabulary. The students will be able to speak English in 90% of their conversation.

Select instructional methods, media, and materials
Method: The students can be put in groups to discuses their conversation. This way each student can correct each other’s mistakes.
Choose media format(s) and materials: The students are only allowed to use the required chat room which was selected by the teacher.

Utilize media and materials:
+Step 1: The ESL students will have to subscribe to a teacher selected chat room on the internet which is mandatory in the beginning of the school year. The students have to chat with each other online in English and then print out the conversation. The conversation has to be in English. Abbreviations such as, “LOL”, “JK” or “OMG” are strictly prohibited. In their conversation, the students have to state an issue and then argue about it. The issue can very but it has to be accepted by the teacher. They also have to use new vocabulary in their conversation.
+ Step 2: After Step one is completed, the students have to bring their printed conversations to class. Then the students need to be broken up into groups of two or three. The students have to correct their dialogues in their groups. After that, they have to choose which dialogue they want to use in the acting portion of the class.

Require learner participation:
+ After the students have a firm understanding of how to do the assignment, the students have to act out their conversation in the front of the class. Every time the student make a mistake or mispronounces a word, they have to be corrected right a way. The students have to write down particular sentences they hear in the other student’s presentations. Allow extra time after each presentation is over for the students to complete the task.
+ As soon as they are done writing, allow some class discussion. This way any concerns about the assignment can be answered.
+ This lesson plan is created so that anyone can do it. Those with disabilities are allowed to use assisted technology from the school.

Evaluate and revise:
At the end of this assignment, the students will be evaluated by the amount of vocabulary they use in their dialogue. They will also be evaluated by how many sentences they’ve created. Incorrect sentences are not acceptable. At the end of class, the students will be tested on their vocabulary.

Hi:
You have a good idea. It would have been nice to see an example of what you expected your students to produce.
